Her vision is to open the marketplace up for sustainable and ethical handmade jewelry that is both affordable and luxurious. Her jewelry is designed in London, Ontario and is made in Toronto. Her one-of-a-kind pieces are sought-after all over North America and Europe.
Mairi gained her vast business experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market from her time spent as an executive at PepsiCo. Prior to moving into the FMCG market, she worked as a currency and fixed-income trader for Chase Manhattan Bank in Toronto, Canada. Mairi is currently taking her GRA and GIA diamond certifications and has worked in the jewelry industry for over seven years. “I founded Maadrn Fine Jewels to change the way people think about Luxury Jewelry. Eco-Luxury to me, is about taking care of yourself and the world we live in. For my business, it is about using recycled stones, ethical trading practices and manufacturing techniques that won’t harm the environment. Plus, making 95% of our jewelry in Canada is something to be proud of as we support our economy and its workers".
