Sustainability

Sustainable jewelry is jewelry that does minimal harm to the environment. At Maadrn Fine Jewels, our goal is to create eco-luxe jewelry that produces zero waste. We do this by using only recycled and up-cycled gold, silver and precious stones and by working with experienced goldsmiths who share our commitment to green practices. In addition, all our packaging and jewelry boxes are made from recycled materials and are recyclable.

Our deadstock gold, silver, precious stones and diamonds come from liquidations and reputable auction houses.

Most of our vintage jewelry is sourced from exclusive auction houses in North America, Europe and Asia.

We occasionally purchase estate jewelry. Please get in touch with us to learn more.

All our diamonds come from reputable auction houses and have proper papers to ensure they are not blood diamonds. However, we prefer to use moissanites or other lab created diamonds as they are eco-friendly and made in the USA.

Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone that simulates a diamond. Rated a 9.25 out of 10 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness, moissanites are suitable for daily wear. Moissanites look beautiful set on their own, or in a ring with diamond accents. Although the colour and brilliance of a moissanite is different from a diamond, this brilliant stone can be an excellent and affordable choice for people looking for an eco-friendly engagement ring, wedding band, or power ring.

Unlike moissanite, a lab created diamond has the same physical, chemical, and optical characteristics as a mined diamond. Since they are not mined, a lab-created diamond is a great option for people looking for a diamond engagement ring, wedding band, or power ring that does no harm.

Design & Manufacturing

We design all our handmade pieces in London, Ontario in collaboration with expert goldsmiths in Toronto and Italy.

All Maadrn Fine Jewelry is handmade in small batches in Toronto, Canada. Some of our recycled 925 Sterling Silver chains are handmade in an eco-studio in Arezzo, Italy. Most of our pieces are one-of-a-kind.

If you’d like us to give your old jewelry new life, drop us a line to discuss.

If you would like your jewelry authenticated for insurance purposes, we will provide certificates for all items over $1,500 for an additional cost of $65.

Unfortunatley, we do not resize rings. However, if you are interested in getting the ring resized at a local jeweler yourself, please get in touch with us, and we will inquire if it can be done. Some rings cannot be resized due to the setting & detail of the ring.
